Top Tip: Pressure isn’t everything! A combination of both water flow and pressure is essential for effective and efficient cleaning.
Choosing The Right Machine For The Job
You need to consider what you’re cleaning, how much dirt there is to move and how much you will use the machine.
Cleaning Often and for Long Periods
If you are using a cold pressure washer several times per week or for a few hours at a time consider slow-speed pump/motor sets of 3-phase machines. Slow speed machines run at 1450rpm reducing wear and tear while 415v, 3-phase motors are capable of standing up to continuous use.
How Much Power Do I Need?
For moving lots of dirt you need more waterflow while as more pressure is good for ingrained dirt. To compare cleaning power multiply Waterflow (litres/minute) by Pressure (BAR) and divide by 600 to get cleaning power in KW. E.g (12 lpm x 100 BAR)/600 = 2KW.
